This episode is where all good things come to an end. Issa's fundraiser for the kids, which takes place in Baldwin Hills, is a success for her program, but her relationships are simultaneously imploding (or are they exploding? Either way...they are all messed up). There's always a blessing in the storm, and the same is true for the Real as F**k episode of Insecure. There were some good pieces of life and business advice to come out of this episode. Here are the lessons:
Lesson #1: Know Your Value
Lesson #2: Consider Your Customer Lists Your Company's Property
Lesson #3: The More Arbitrary the Trademark, the Better
Lesson #4: All Advice Ain't Good Advic
Lesson #5: Build Your Dream Team (but Still Use Google)
I've included the rest of my twitter thoughts for the #PopCultureClass from Season 1, Episode 7 of Insecure below. You can also check them out on Storify.
My favorite lesson from above is "Know Your Value." It is something I've only recently been able to accept in my own life. What is your favorite lesson? Let me know below.
