MEET SHONTAVIA

Shontavia Johnson serves as a highly acclaimed attorney, higher education administrator, consultant, and public intellectual.  Named one of 2016’s Top 40 Young Lawyers by the American Bar Association, her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Fortune, and Time. She has traveled the world extensively, teaching, speaking and consulting on a wide range of topics revolving around innovation, law, and culture.

Today, Shontavia serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Partnerships and Innovation at Clemson University, where she helps form strategic alliances between higher ed and industry. She has founded Pop Culture U, an education platform and podcast that teaches complex principles through the lens of pop culture. She also curates content through SC Opportunity, which shares South Carolina-based opportunities related to education and business.

Shontavia believes strongly in the power of connecting information to the broader community, and she seeks to bridge the gap wherever she goes.
